The classification of a family as a social risk group is determined by a number of interrelated factors: addictions of adult family members, lack of social skills, non-participation in children's upbringing and education, violence, unemployment, financial difficulties, health, psychological problems and others. In order to manage risk factors in Ukmergė district municipality and provide qualified assistance to future parents who lack social skills, it is planned to introduce a model of family attendance in early intervention services to help predict protective factors in all three areas: prenatal health-related behavior; safe and responsible childcare; responsible parenting. This prevention program is expected to lead to better pregnancy outcomes, better child health and development, and economic independence for families.

The aim of the project is to provide support and improve information for expectant mothers during pregnancy, after childbirth and until the child reaches the age of 2, to provide high-quality services to help mothers make informed decisions about their childcare in Ukmergė district.

During the project it is planned:
•    To implement a model of family attendance by providing early intervention services in Ukmergė district.
•    Provide early intervention services to expectant mothers during pregnancy, after delivery and until the child is 2 years old. It is planned to hire a family visit specialist who will cater for 25 families: will make 14 home visits during a woman’s pregnancy, 28 visits from the birth of a baby to 12 months age and 22 visits from 13 months up to 24 months the age of the child.

Expected project results:
In order to ensure the implementation of the model of family attendance by providing early intervention services in Ukmergė district, a qualified family attendance specialist will be employed, who will provide intervention services to the target group, including:
• intensive care provided by a family visit specialist;
• family counseling and training;
• Changing the behavior of expectant women and mothers through counseling and motivation.
During the implementation of the project, intersectoral cooperation is envisaged, which will contribute to the quality identification of beneficiaries and the exchange of information, which will improve the quality of service provision. Family attendance will be free and uninterrupted.

Project target groups: first-time pregnant young (under 21) and older (over 40) women living in a social risk environment and their children under 2 years old, other family members, community, society.

The project is implemented without partners.
